The foreign Ministry of Ukraine responded to another resolution against Russian sanctions.
The decision of the Council of the Italian region of Tuscany, except for the call for the lifting of economic sanctions against Russia, there is also the phrase about illegal and unacceptable annexation of Crimea. This was stated by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Italy Yevhen Perelygin in your Facebook.
In its decision, the local deputies the decision on a common European position regarding the illegal actions of Russia against Ukraine.
“The regional Council has taken into account the statements of the head of the EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini,… where it is noted that the EU firmly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and does not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia, continuing to move in the direction of strengthening sanctions, and stresses that the European Union does not recognize and continues to condemn this violation of international law. We are talking about a direct challenge to international security, with dire consequences for the international legal order”, - quotes the Ambassador the resolution of Tuscany.
In his opinion, the paragraph on sanctions “are written in pure Tuscan style (and hunt with the hounds,” since the regional Parliament asked the government to terminate them, but only “encourage initiatives that will lead to the lifting of trade restrictions.
Thus, unlike the provincial councils of Veneto, Liguria and Lombardy, the Tuscan deputies were not to make statements about the “Russian Crimea”.
Ambassador Perelygin said that sanctions against Russia can be canceled only in case of full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
