The court sent Yanukovych a summons for a hearing on charges of treason

Obolonskiy district court of Kiev was sent by former President Viktor Yanukovych was summons to court on charges of treason.
“The Obolon district court of Kiev gives you as the defendant 10.00 may 4, 2017”, — stated in the text of the official document.

Recall that last week President Petro Poroshenko signed the law for the trial in absentia of Yanukovych.
Lawyers of the former President insist that the trial in absentia of Yanukovych illegal. The Prosecutor’s office say that the only reason for the termination in absentia proceedings is its voluntary appearance in Ukraine.
