The first cosmonaut of Ukraine Leonid Kadenyuk died on 68-m to year of life in the Park of Kiev, not waiting for the arrival of the ambulance. Kadenyuk in 1995 he was selected to the group of astronauts of the National space Agency of Ukraine.

In Kiev unexpectedly on 68-m to year of life has died the first cosmonaut of Ukraine Leonid Kadenyuk. It is reported by UNN with reference to sources in the environment Kadenyuk, Wednesday, January 31.

According to the interlocutor of the Agency, Kadenyuk died suddenly in the Park Tsarskoye Selo, not waiting arrival of physicians.

Kadenyuk is the first and currently the only, fly into outer space astronaut of independent Ukraine. In 1995 he was selected to the group of astronauts of the National space Agency of Ukraine. From 19 November to 5 December 1997, made a space flight on the American Shuttle Columbia mission STS-87. During the flight Kadenyuk performed biological experiments joint Ukrainian-American experience.

Recently, he advised the space Agency of Ukraine.
