Agricultural holding Mriya answered the charges in a hostile takeover of the earth

On the agricultural holding Mriya complained to the farmers of the Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions

The company argued that people who bought the right to lease these lands, knew all the risks, and consciously to these risks

The Ukrainian agricultural holding Mriya has called baseless charges of attempt of illegal appropriation of land received by him by a few farmers of the Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions.

This is stated in the press release of the company.

“The earth, around which the dispute arose, had been illegally withdrawn from Mriya at the time of default. We were able to prove it and to restore their rights. Part of the land was returned Mriya together with the corporate rights of legal entities, which registered leases, part – a result of the cancellation of double registration of contracts on top of existing leases of agricultural holdings, another part – by the decision of the courts to invalidate contracts on the termination” – explained the Director of legal Affairs of Mriya Agroholding Sergey Ignatovsky.

The company argued that Mriya operates exclusively within the law and has the documents confirming the legal position of the company and its rights to the lands which became the subject of dispute.

“Mriya, it is fundamentally important, as the company looks back on a very negative experience of fraud by former owners and management, which not only nearly destroyed the company itself, but also caused enormous damage to Ukraine’s image in the eyes of foreign investors,” said Ignatowski.

He also added that on the return of illegally taken out Mriya assets the company has been operating for over two years and all this time openly reported about the troubled and controversial assets, urging them not to engage in dubious deals.

“People who have bought the right to lease these lands, knew all the risks, and consciously to these risks went. Now, when the law was not on their side, instead of to obey him, is accused of raiding and Mriya, and authority that made the decision in her favor,” he said.

As reported Корреспондент.netin January 2017 the agricultural holding Mriya has regained corporate law 10 legal entities and their land assets in the amount of 5 thousand hectares in Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.
